Well hello,
And welcome to the Marketing.In.Sight blog !
I am so excited to start this journey with you.
In this first article, I thought it’d be a good idea to get straight to the point: What are you going to find in this blog?
–> You are going to find out if and how you are being influenced to buy things.
That is a topic I’ve been interested in for as long as I can remember (find out more about my background here) and now it is time for me to share what I know with you.
So, what do brands do to encourage us to buy?
That’s a very loaded question. It implies that we are being influenced to buy products (and are we?). Also, it doesn’t have one straight answer.
One thing that is for sure, there is a lot to say about it. That’s why we are here. Through blog articles and Instagram (join here), I am going to share my knowledge, experience and point of view on this question with 3 types of content:
- Existing methods and why they work on us consumers
- Real life examples of Brands using these methods and how they affect us
- Some nice tips for us to avoid being influenced
In other words, we are going to watch the hidden face of marketing together from our comfy couch! So sit back, relax and make sure you subscribe to be the first to know when the next article is published π
And before we get into the real stuff, I’m curious to know: Do you think that you are being influenced by brands? Let me know in the comment section below.
Cheers π
I definitely feel I’m being influenced by brands, either through their advertising, their consistency in their respective industry or even their image.
Darwin, not gonna lie, that is absolutely true !!! Now, the question is, is it done intentionally or not …
We are being pushed to buy at every turn. The power of the algorithm is so much that we donβt even know when we are being targeted!
That is very true. It would be too much to process at once. I think the important thing is to be aware of it π
